Our encyclopaedic knowledge of the industry spans the entire content chain from camera lens to consumer screen with an understanding of a whole array of technology suppliers and content companies. We have particular expertise in media business systems, workflow, content supply chain and cloud.
We’re in contact with a huge network of industry though leaders around the world, and have a deep understanding of the dynamics of the consumer media market, meaning all our projects are rooted in the realities of the current media tech industry—underpinned by an effective, proven methodology.
Rob (@rambrose) started his media career in BBC local radio at the age of 15, and worked as a BBC TV and radio journalist at the dawn of digital news production before moving into technology projects with Associated Press and Siemens Media Consulting.
He’s worked for technology vendors large and small, including leading the media solutions business at Oracle. He also worked as an industry analyst at Screen Digest, creating the first ever media tech industry valuation report in 2003 (now the IABM-Devoncroft GMVR), and found time to earn an MBA with Distinction from Imperial College, London—one of Europe’s leading business schools.
His hands-on experience of media operations spans content production and post-production, business systems (rights, advertising sales, scheduling), news operations, content supply chain (MAM, DAM, workflow, orchestration), monetisation and ad tech models, broadcast playout and direct-to-consumer digital distribution.
He’s designed and delivered workflows, business cases, technology solutions and business transformation for large-scale broadcast projects at the BBC, ProSiebenSat.1, SABC, 1+1 Media, Corus Entertainment and many others.
Rob has widespread international experience throughout Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, India and Asia-Pacific, including advising broadcast and media companies in developing markets and emerging democracies.
