Flying the Rainbow Flag at IBC 2019

Is the media, entertainment and technology industry failing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender talent and limiting on-screen presence – or can it be a force for good? Visibility of LGBT issues and people remains patchy across our industry, and colleagues in many countries face the daily threat of persecution and violence.

In a panel session produced by High Green Media at IBC2019 and chaired by Rob Ambrose, we explored how major media and tech organisations are driving positive change, how strong LGBT storylines, characters and on-air talent can shape public attitudes, and asked whether the media technology business still has too many closets.
